Juky and Beatrix were absent in July due to work and holidays, but made a come-back in August with the Broadbeach and Tamborine markets! The weather was wonderful on both days and I felt largely understocked both times. All the best JB books were at St. Barts as the shop had made another order. They have the loveliest of our storybooks (beautiful vintage covers letter-stamped with pictures and titles, and colours from a delicate pink to an aged blue-green), and a batch of mushrakazams in new-season fabrics that haven't made an appearance at the markets yet. My two new favourites are both light-coloured. One features butterflies illustrated as you might see them in textbooks, and the other is of funky origami animals. Both can now be purchased at St. Barts, otherwise I will hopefully be able to make some for Broadbeach. I always get excited when working with new materials.
And speaking of excitement, Juky and Beatrix are in the newest Cove Magazine, an aesthetically pleasing, high quality lifestyle magazine. We are on Page 12 in the Preveiw section with the likes of the Rooftop Bar in Brisbane and Jemae studio brideswear. Super exciting.
In celebration of being 'fo real, fo real' published in a magazine, we're putting together some specials for the August/September markets. These are:
Free set of bookplates with the purchase of any Mushrakazam or Storybook.
10% off purchases over $50.
So if you're looking to stock up on presents, this is a good time.
